he Fleming Jenkins Winery is a federally bonded winery (BW-CA-6925) that is located alongside
Testarossa Vineyards in the historic Novitiate Winery in Los Gatos, a distinguished site where
wine has been produced every year since 1888. The winemaking operations even continued through
Prohibition since it was established by Jesuit Brothers to produce altar wine. The Jesuits
closed their winemaking in 1985, but the traditions have continued with new wineries basing
production there, and the location is now the headquarters for both Fleming Jenkins and
Testarossa Vineyards. The opportunity to work closely with Testarossa gives us the ability to
frequently compare notes with their talented winemaker, Bill Brosseau, and proprietors Rob and
Diana Jensen.
From bud break to bottling, we take a careful approach to every phase and detail in the art of winemaking at Fleming
Jenkins. As the process unfolds, Greg, as Winemaker, assesses the many options available to us for growing grapes of
optimal flavor and ripeness, and makes the multitude of choices required to create wine with the diversity, unity and
style that we desire.
