| Getting Ready For Harvest | |

The 2006 harvest is right around the corner and we are finalizing plans for another busy season. Our estate vineyard
Chardonnay is showing good cluster development and gradually building sugar and flavor levels. We recently put
bird nets over our vines to protect our crop from unwanted visitors.
Our two Syrah vineyards, Madden Ranch in the Livermore Valley and Black Ridge Vineyard in Los Gatos, are developing nicely. The word up in the Napa Valley is that the crop this year is showing small berry and cluster sizes, which should produce very concentrated flavors in the finished wines. This could be great news for the 2006 vintage of Choreography, our Napa Valley Cabernet blend. Harvest is an exciting time for us, and we enjoy the long hours knowing that the end results are all worthwhile! |
